Craft Readers is a research, reading and discussion group based at the University of the Arts, London. Bringing together artists, designers and researchers from a range of disciplines, the group meets monthly to discuss texts, exhibitions and craft-related events.
Our aim is to develop a strong network of craft researchers within UAL, and be a focus for contemporary craft discourse. We are open to postgraduate students across all UAL colleges whose enquiries touch on the broad themes of craft. The name of the group is in reference to The Craft Reader, edited by Glenn Adamson (Berg, 2009), the writings in which cover many of the different areas and concerns of craft.
